Dr. Machi helps influence a more holistic medical school admissions process. She is an NTN Holistic Admissions Workgroup member working to establish best practices around how to successfully implement a group exercise component across a range of medical schools, each with their own local admissions culture, mission and set of resources. Additionally, she is investigating how medical school faculty members assign the relative importance of AAMC Core Competencies to matriculating and graduating medical students in helping to understand which character strengths are important to medical school faculty.
