MCW Common Read
Led by Olivia Davies | MD Candidate
The Kern Institute is proud to partner with MCW medical students to unite the MCW community through a common reading experience, building a foundation for the growth of relationships, self and purpose.
This year, it is with great excitement that we announce the selection of Dr. Rana Awdish’s novel, In Shock: My Journey from Death to Recovery and the Redemptive Power of Hope, as our first MCW Common Read.
Common Read Book Club Poster Presentation
Authors: Olivia Davies, Sehr Khan, Wendy Peltier, Cassie Ferguson, Martin Muntz
In-person book discussions are attended by only a fraction of the community due to distance, scheduling constraints, and competing commitments.
Social media may be powerful tools to augment connection and engagement to support a common goal or new initiative.
MCW Med Moth
Led by MCW Students Zoe Bartynski, Lauren Curwick, Scott Lamm, and Jessica Sachs
The Kern Institute is excited to partner with MCW medical students to present a live storytelling series inspired by The Moth. MCW students and faculty are invited to share first-hand narratives of their medical school journey without notes, scripts or props to a live audience on Thursday, October 10 from 7-9pm. Please RSVP and plan to join us.
