Includes Goodman & Gilman's The Pharmacological Basis of Therapeutics, Harrison's Online, Hurst's The Heart, LANGE Educational Library, over 150 cases from the Lange Case Files series plus thousands of images and illustrations, multimedia library, interactive self-assessment, time-saving diagnostic and point-of-care tools, and the ability to view content on a mobile device. The institutional subscription also includes the AccessMedicine App.

Access Pediatrics
AccessPediatrics™ from McGraw-Hill is an integrated online resource with a broad range of content that covers the entire span of pediatric practice, from neonatology through adolescent medicine.  Updated regularly and optimized for viewing on any device, this comprehensive online pediatric resource provides instant access to information essential for completing evaluation, diagnosis, and case management decisions, as well as for pursuing research or self-assessment and board review.

AccessPharmacy
Comprehensive resource for pharmacy education and practice including books, multimedia, drug database, drug therapy cases, study tools, and more.

AccessSurgery 
A comprehensive resource for surgery education that provides textbooks, videos, animations, image library, a differential diagnosis tool, interactive board review, and more.

American Hospital Directory - Password Required
Provides online data for over 6,000 hospitals. The database of information about hospitals is built from both public and private sources including Medicare claims data (MEDPAR and OPPS), hospital cost reports, and other files obtained from the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). AHD is not affiliated with the American Hospital Association (AHA) and is not a source for AHA Data. Free services available to all. Professional services available to MCW only. Password required. Colloquium Digital Library of Life Sciences
Includes access to Collections One, Two, and Three from Morgan & Claypool Publishers - 135 monographs on research topics written by leading scientists worldwide. Subjects cover a wide life sciences spectrum from core areas in cellular and molecular biology to neuroscience. Licensed titles have green icon to the right of the title on each Lecture Series title list.

Encyclopedia of Bioethics
The site provides access to Encyclopedia of Bioethics 3rd edition (2004) and Bioethics 4th edition (2014).  The title of the encyclopedia changed with the publication of the 4th edition. Key concepts and issues in bioethics are explained in nearly 500 entries. Many subjects are discussed in terms of various perspectives: religious, ethical, policy/law, etc. The 4th edition has been expanded to include views of nations and cultures other than the United States on such issues as abortion, medical triage, social responsibility, access to health care, and stem cell research. Purchase of the title is supported by a generous gift from Ms. Julia A. Uihlein, MA, Assistant Adjunct Professor of Bioethics and Medical Humanities, and Pediatrics.

First Aid Test Prep
Includes peer to peer medical review guides provided on the McGraw-Hill eBook Library platform for preparing for USMLE, clerkship, and specialty board exams.

Foundations in Wisconsin Online
The directory covers every active grant making foundation in the state of Wisconsin. The foundation profiles include contact information, total assets, grants paid, and areas of interest. Click on the Member Login button to access the directory.

Harrison's Online
Electronic version of Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine is the most recent edition of this highly respected text and is located in AccessMedicine. Also includes online only chapters, atlases, videos, and self-assessment questions. Updated continuously.

LWW Health Library Premium Collection
Provides access to basic science, physical examination, epidemiology, and ethics titles published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins as well as several titles from the Lippincott Illustrated Reviews Series. Includes supplementary content such as images, videos, animations, cases, and interactive question banks. A limited amount of the supplementary content (e.g., audio heart sounds) is Flash-based, which is not compatible with Apple mobile devices.

OMMBID

Pediatric Nephrology
The sixth edition has been endorsed by the International Pediatric Nephrology Association (IPNA) as the standard global reference text in the field of childhood kidney disease. The vendor changed to SpringerLink from Books@Ovid.

Online access to DSM-5 Library and a collection of books, journals, practice guidelines, medication information handouts for patients, and self-assessment tools from American Psychiatric Publishing, Inc.  Optimized for viewing on mobile devices.

Red Book Online
Features the complete text of the Red Book in English and Spanish, the essential pediatric infectious diseases reference, plus a full library of over 2,700 related visual images, updated news, eAlerts, and more. Optimized for viewing on mobile devices.

ScienceDirect E-Books
Includes monographic series and individual e-books in basic and clinical sciences published by Elsevier such as Encyclopedia of the Eye, The Senses, Methods in Enzymology, The Rat Nervous System, and Assisted Ventilation of the Neonate.

Springer Protocols
Includes protocols from Humana’s book series Methods in Molecular Biology, Methods in Molecular Medicine, Methods in Biotechnology, Methods in Pharmacology and Toxicology, and Neuromethods, as well as a large number of Laboratory Handbooks, such as The Molecular Biomethods Handbook, The Proteomics Protocols Handbook, and the Springer Laboratory Manuals.

STAT!Ref 
Contains the full-text of primary care, nursing, board review, and health science writing texts. Also includes Stedman's Medical Dictionary, EBMcalc, OPTUM CPT® Data Files, ICD-9-CM (v.1-3), ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and ICD Code Conversion Tools.

Thieme Clinical Collection
Includes titles from medical specialties such as internal medicine, neurosurgery, orthopedics, otolaryngology, and radiology. MCW Libraries provides access to the 2010 collection.

Bartleby.com: Great Books Online
Bartleby gives full text access to many literary classics. Included are reference, verse, fiction, and non-fiction works. If you are looking for that “perfect quotation,” check out this site.

Cell Signalling Biology
Provides researchers, teachers and students with a resource to describe the biology of cell signalling. The emerging information on cell signalling pathways is integrated and presented within the context of specific cell types and processes.

FreeBooks4Doctors
FreeBooks4Doctors promotes free access to medical resources on the Internet. It currently links to over 360 free medical books and also provides access to free medical journals and medical podcasts.

National Academies Press
The National Academies Press (NAP) was created by the National Academies to publish the reports issued by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, operating under a charter granted by the United States Congress. NAP publishes over 200 books a year in the areas of science, engineering, and health. More than 5,000 titles are available in PDF format. Almost all of these PDFs can be downloaded for free by the chapter or the entire book. See About PDFs for more information.

NCBI Bookshelf
This is a growing collection of biomedical books provided by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) in collaboration with authors and publishers. The books can be searched individually or as a collection.

The Online Books Page
This site facilitates access to over 2 million books and serials that are freely readable over the Internet for personal, noncommercial use. The books and serials can be browsed by author, title, or Library of Congress subject categories. The site also includes a book search feature, archives and indexes, and foreign language texts.
