Biography

I recently graduated from MSOE with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. While in college, I was a very active member of the campus community. As such I was involved in several professional and social organizations including the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). Prior to joining the AOIP, I worked in the start-up space for several years, first as an intern, and later, as a project manager for a company utilizing big data analytics for cancer imaging. Outside of work, one of my favorite hobbies is photography, so it’s no surprise that I’m interested in integrating medical imaging with my career. I’m looking forward to learning more about ophthalmology and the science and engineering behind AOSLO imaging!

Research Interests

My role in the AOIP is to aid in image acquisition and processing, to assist in managing the AOIP retinal-imaging database, and to provide general engineering and software support. Additional responsibilities include assisting in maintenance and alignment of AOSLO and anomaloscope devices.
