Biography
Dr. Parsons is an associate professor of pathology at the Medical College of Wisconsin and the Medical Director of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at Children’s Wisconsin. Her clinical duties include pediatric cytopathology, pediatric surgical pathology, adult cytopathology, placental pathology, and perinatal/pediatric autopsy pathology. She is Program Director for the Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Residency Program, the director of the pediatric pathology fellowship, and actively participates in pediatric resident and fellow education. Dr. Parsons’ major clinical and research interests include the application of aspiration cytology in pediatrics, pediatric thyroid nodules and cancer, and pediatric renal tumors. She is a member of and pathology central reviewer for the Children’s Oncology Group Renal Tumor Committee and is actively involved in the development and execution of pediatric renal tumor clinical trials.
