Amanda M. Hopp, MD

I am a Midwest girl born and raised! I grew up in central Wisconsin, then went to the University of Minnesota where I graduated with a degree in Biochemistry. After college, I was excited to get back to Wisconsin and fellow Packer fans when I moved to Milwaukee to attend medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin. After deciding on Pathology as a specialty, I knew I couldn’t leave as we have a such wonderful program here at MCW. Some of the qualities that especially drew me to MCW were how the program focuses strongly on both AP and CP, the dedication to education at all levels of training, and the welcoming and supportive nature of everyone here!

In my free time I love to take advantage of the wide variety of things this great city has to offer, including playing volleyball at Bradford Beach, going to Brewer games, exploring new and unique restaurants, and trying different beers from the many breweries in town. Without sounding cliche, Milwaukee really is a big city with a small town feel!
