Career Plans: Combined Med-Peds Hospitalist

Why MCW?: I was really looking for strong training on both sides, while also having a well-known Med-Peds presence. I feel like I could also tell that the residents really enjoyed each other and were more than just coworkers, which after being here I can say is definitely true! Milwaukee is a great place to life.

Favorite Aspect of Residency at MCW: MCW has a great mix of opportunities as a large academic institution with a vast breadth of experiences given the diverse patients and problems, while also being super supportive of future careers and life outside of medicine.

Favorite Aspect of Milwaukee: I love Milwaukee summers! Summers here are perfect with ideal weather, fun festivals (like Summerfest) every weekend, nice community parks, sand volleyball on the lake, Brewers games and tailgates, or even just a chill dinner on your patio; there’s always something to do. And there’s no shortage of frozen custard to go around either!

Favorite Milwaukee Places: Eagle Park Brewing, Paloma Tacos, Meiji, Seven Bridges trail, Bucks & Brewers games

One Thing You Must Try While Living in Wisconsin: Renting a boat on Lake Michigan or one of the many other inland lakes! One of my favorite weekends from residency was a quick trip to Door County with co-residents which included the perfect boat day. We all still talk about how much we loved it and have recreated the trip several times.

Hobbies: My dogs, sports (playing and watching), trivia nights, trying new things

Interesting Fact About Me: I’m a new mom as my husband and I welcomed our daughter to the world this past November. I’m looking forward to bringing her around at program events or maybe even sometime in the chief office! She’d love to meet y’all.
