Biography

I am currently dealing with the identification of novel interacting protein partners in RhoBTB1-Cullin 3 pathway. Using proteomic approaches, I plan to validate them for their potential role in hypertension, pre-eclampsia, and associated cardiovascular impairments.

In parallel, my research explores the transcriptomic functions of RbFox2, a well-characterized RNA-binding protein involved in the regulation of alternative splicing, using various in vitro and in vivo models of hypertension. I am particularly interested in identifying the specific splice variants regulated by RbFox2 in different models of hypertension, as these splicing events may have significant implications for vascular tone, remodeling, and endothelial function in hypertensive states. Together, these studies aim to bridge gaps in our understanding of the molecular underpinnings of hypertension and open new avenues for therapeutic intervention by targeting the protein-protein and RNA-level interactions mediated by RhoBTB1, RbFox2, and Cullins.
