Biography

Dr. Wrzosek grew up in the Chicagoland area after emigrating with her family from Poland. After completing her undergraduate studies, medical school, and general psychiatry residency training all at the University of Illinois at Chicago, she completed her child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. She then took a faculty position at the University of IL College of Medicine in Peoria, where she was the Associate Program Director for the psychiatry residency and was actively involved in the education of medical students and residents.

Research Interests

She joined the Medical College of Wisconsin as the Director of Medical Student Education in the Department of Psychiatry. She maintains an active child psychiatry practice through Children’s Wisconsin, as well as a small adult practice at the Tosa Health Center. Her research interests include the impact of social media on education and professionalism, recruitment trends, wellness, and curriculum and educational design. She has presented extensively at local, regional, national and international meetings and is active in leadership of several national organizations, including the Association for Academic Psychiatry, as well as the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
