Biography

Prior to transferring to MCW for PhD in CDB, I was in the joint TS-PhD program of UT Health San Antonio, UT Austin, and UTSA. My background is in Obstetrics and Gynaecology where I have played prominent roles in reproductive health research, particularly in research involving reproductive health challenges of people living with HIV. Through the PhD in CDB, I will be transitioning to research involving epigenetics of endocrine-sensitive breast cancer. My proposed thesis topic is “The Crosstalk Between the Tumour Microenvironment and Epigenetic Regulation in Endocrine Resistant Breast Cancer.”

Research Interests

Understanding the molecular and epigenetic basis for therapeutic resistance in endocrine-sensitive breast cancer
