Research Interests

My research interest during my time as an undergraduate student was in the realm of microbiology. I found antimicrobial resistance fascinating, and I always think about novel approaches to combating disease through different approaches. As technology moves forward, I believe there will be new avenues to elucidate how to handle different microbial infections. As I have transitioned into the research technician role in the Physiology Department at MCW, I have realized that I am fascinated by neurophysiology. Specifically, neuroinflammation and how microglia, astrocytes and neurons interact after physiological stress.
