Bethlehem Solomon serves as the Public Health Supervisor for the Communicable Disease Unit at Rock County Public Health, where she leads a team focused on high-quality surveillance of infectious diseases, timely and efficient outbreak identification and response and outbreaks, and the development and implementation of data-driven public health interventions.
Prior to her current role, she was the Senior Epidemiologist of the Communicable Disease Bureau at Chicago Department of Public Health and has held multiple roles at Imperial College London including Teaching Fellow in Public Health, Research Assistant in Urban Health and Research Associate in Population Health.
Bethlehem holds an MPhil in Epidemiology from Imperial College London, where her thesis examined the intersection of housing quality and health inequalities, specifically home thermal efficiency in London. She also earned an MPH from Boston University with concentrations in Epidemiology and Global Health, and a Bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University with a double major in Health: Science, Society, and Policy (HSSP) and Education Studies.
