Research Interests

At this moment, I would like to continue to explore more research options. I am open to any and every research opportunity. I have been Dr. Vera Tarakanova’s research technician for a year and have enjoyed studying viral infections through new techniques in molecular virology, cell biology, and animal models. Working alongside her has exposed me to cancer virology and immunology of infectious diseases. Cancer has impacted and shaped my family, from prostate, breast cancer, and leukemia. With this exposure and personal connection to this disease, there is a partial interest in cancer research opportunities. However, I would like to continue exploring other research topics with an open mind and hope for my science to fulfill my public health passion.
