Biography

My name is Layan Naqawa, and I am from Amman, Jordan. I graduated from Lawrence University with a double major in Biology and Neuroscience. After college, I worked as a medical scribe at ThedaCare Emergency in Appleton, Wisconsin, where I documented patient encounters and gained exposure to diverse medical cases and protocols. I am interested in translational neuroscience, and I look forward to pursuing my interests and continuing my journey as a researcher at MCW!

Research Interests

Translational neuroscience with a focus on neurodegenerative diseases and neurological disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and seizures.
