BS Neuroscience, BA Criminology, Hofstra University Honors College, 2023

Biography

I graduated from Hofstra University Honors College in Long Island, New York in 2023 with a BS in Neuroscience and a BA in Criminology. There, I did research in Dr. Nicholas Santangelo's lab, where I observed behavior of mother convict cichlids after injecting them with varying doses of cortisol and introducing them to a conspecific. After, I completed my Masters in Dr. Jonathan Lifshitz's lab at the University of Arizona in 2025. My project verified novel diffusion MRI signatures of neuroinflammation in experimental traumatic brain injury. This is where I was first introduced to neurotrauma research and find myself very passionate about this scientific field.

Research Interests

I am interested in neurotrauma research, particularly traumatic brain injury. I am particularly intrigued by imaging techniques used to visualize TBI pathophysiology.
