Research Interests

Our perception and reaction to salient stimuli is influenced by environmental, genetic, and developmental factors. My research interests lie in using electrophysiology and genetic tools for in-vivo manipulation and imaging of neuronal activity during behavior. A better understanding of the neural circuitry and signaling that underlies complex behavior is crucial to develop more effective therapies and interventions for drug use, mood, and anxiety disorders.
