Biography

Dr. Mosier graduated with a BS in Chemistry and Mathematics from Midland University, after which he studied medicinal chemistry at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Following an industrial internship, he received his PhD in Chemistry from the Pennsylvania State University and pursued postdoctoral research in computational medicinal chemistry at Virginia Commonwealth University. He is an experienced educator who advocates for the importance of scientific literacy not only in health professions but also in general. His research is applicable to many therapeutic areas and focuses on understanding, through the use of computational tools, the structure of and mechanisms by which small molecules interact with and modulate the structure and function of their protein targets.
