Team CarT ParT is excited to announce their participation in the Blood Cancer United’s annual “Light the Night” event, which will take place at the Milwaukee lakefront on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

This significant community event aims to raise funds for crucial blood cancer research and to provide vital support for those affected by these diseases. Since its inception, Team CarT ParT, led by Dr. Tom Zahrt and Chris Mueller from the Department of Microbiology & Immunology, has raised more than $56,000 for Blood Cancer United. Building on this success, Dr. Zahrt and Mr. Mueller are setting their sights on an even greater achievement this year with an ambitious fundraising goal of $15,000. They are calling on the Milwaukee community to join them in this noble endeavor.
