Dr. Ali received his MD from the faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. He completed his general surgery residency training at the Medical College of Wisconsin where he stayed on Faculty as an Instructor in surgery before completing his cardiothoracic surgery training at Baylor College of Medicine and the Texas Heart Institute under the mentorship of Drs. Joseph Coselli and Marc Moon. Dr. Ali published several papers in the field of cardiothoracic surgery, and presented at national meetings of renowned professional organizations, such as the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) and the American Association for Thoracic Surgery (AATS).
