Board certified in anatomic pathology and neuropathology, Dr. Cochran’s research interests include aging changes of the brain, Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, as well as brain tumors.
For the past 20 years, Dr. Cochran was on the faculty of Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, where she was also director of autopsy services. While at Rush, she also served as director of the brain bank.
Dr. Cochran has authored and published numerous studies on Alzheimer’s disease and other disorders involving the central nervous system such as Parkinson’s disease and epilepsy. She has also contributed to two textbooks on surgical pathology and neuropathology.
