Biography

Dr. Depta is Associate Professor of Medicine and Vice Chief of Cardiovascular Innovation in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at Medical College of Wisconsin, where he also serves as Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. He is a board-certified interventional cardiologist specializing in advanced valvular and structural heart disease. He completed his medical degree at Chicago Medical School, followed by Internal Medicine training at Cleveland Clinic where he served as Chief Medical Resident. His cardiology fellowship was completed at Washington University/Barnes Jewish Hospital, and he pursued advanced fellowships in Interventional Cardiology and structural heart disease at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School. He earned both a Master's degree in Population Health Sciences and MBA, Dr. Depta is national expert in valvular and structural heart disease. He is actively involved in clinical trials and serves as a proctor training physicians worldwide in advanced transcatheter and electrosurgery techniques.
