Otolaryngology and Communication Sciences Clinic

Good patient care starts with honesty and clear communication. My goal is to provide the best possible treatment for ear and skull base conditions, and I've trained extensively to be a thorough, careful surgeon who matches the right treatment to the right patient. Not every symptom that feels like an ear problem originates in the ear, and some ear conditions don't yet have a clear cause or a clear fix. When that's the case, I'll tell you directly, including when the right next step is seeing a specialist in a different field. My job is to make sure you're seeing the person best equipped to help you, whether that's me or someone else. I know that a referral to a neurotologist can feel like a last resort after a long search for answers. I don't take that trust lightly. If I don't have a solution for you, I'll say so clearly rather than leave you guessing, and I'll always be honest about what treatment can and can't do. I share the hope that medicine will one day have an answer for every problem. Until then, I won't offer a procedure I believe is ineffective or unsafe, because your trust matters more than a quick fix.

Biography

I'm from Texas originally, but I've moved north over the course of my career. I went to the University of Texas for undergraduate and medical school before completing my otolaryngology (ear, nose, and throat surgery) residency at Duke University. I pursued additional training to focus on ear and cranial base surgery (neurotology) at Indiana University. I love Milwaukee for its friendly people, beautiful Lake and woods, and plenty of things to do all the time. I am a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and the American Neurotology Society.
