Rheumatic diseases can be complex disorders and present uniquely in every individual patient. While advances in medical technology never cease to amaze me, I believe listening carefully to a patient's symptoms remains the most important diagnostic tool. Once a diagnosis is established, I will work hard to explain the condition carefully, offer expected prognosis and discuss treatment options. Any treatment strategy needs to fit an individual patient's wellness philosophy to be successful.

"I was born and raised in Green Bay (although born into a family without Packer season tickets!) and went to undergraduate and graduate school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I played the tuba in the Wisconsin Marching Band (2 Rose Bowl trips!) and remain a Badger sports fan. If weather permits, I enjoy gardening, cycling and fishing."
