Biography

Dr. Yuka Kobayashi is an Assistant Professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin and is board-certified in both family medicine and sports medicine. Dr. Kobayashi is dedicated to caring for the entire family, from infants to patients in their golden years. She is passionate about helping her patients stay active, healthy and engaged at every stage of life. As a fellowship-trained sports medicine physician, Dr. Kobayashi treats musculoskeletal conditions from head to toe.

Dr. Kobayashi has extensive experience performing ultrasound-guided injections, which has been shown to improve both the precision and effectiveness of treatment. This also makes the experience more comfortable for patients. She offers a variety of therapeutic injection options, including steroids, Toradol, hyaluronic acid and platelet-rich plasma (PRP).

As a Team Physician for the Milwaukee Brewers, Dr. Kobayashi has significant expertise in caring for throwing athletes with shoulder and elbow disorders. She is equally passionate about the care of mild traumatic brain injuries and sports-related concussions. She played an integral role in developing advanced concussion care protocols across the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network.

Dr. Kobayashi's dedication to both family medicine and sports medicine extends beyond her clinical practice and includes contributions to education and research. She is highly respected in the field of sports medicine, as evidenced by her leadership roles in the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and her frequent presentations at both national and international conferences. She is currently an Adjunct Faculty for the Menomonee Falls Family Medicine Residency and Core Faculty for the MCW Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship.
