Biography

Dr. Lyons is Associate Professor and Program Director for the Medicine-Psychiatry Combined Program. She earned her medical degree at Medical College of Wisconsin, staying at MCW for her Internal Medicine Residency. She was chief residents before becoming Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Lyons works as a primary care physician on the main campus, with a clinical interest in obesity medicine and cancer survivorship.


Dr. Lyons is a true Wisconsinite having grown up on a small dairy farm in central Wisconsin.  She currently lives with her husband and two children on a small hobby farm that houses chickens, peacocks, cats and dogs.   Dr. Lyons loves to spend her time enjoying all the Wisconsin seasons biking, hiking, kayaking, and snowshoeing.


Dr. Lyons research interest focuses on QI improvement curriculum development, professional identity formation, and coaching in GME.
