New & Established Patients Call
My patient care philosophy is to help patients feel their best, so that they can live their lives to the fullest and do what they love. I believe in shared decision making and encourage my patients to play active roles in shaping their care and treatment plans. As a subspecialist faculty member within the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Program at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin, I collaborate with a world-class team of multidisciplinary experts that leverage our resources and expertise to provide state-of-the-art care and advocacy to our patients. As a dual fellowship-trained subspecialist in both Gastroenterology and Advanced Inflammatory Bowel Disease, I bring to the team both a focus on evidence-based medicine and offering the latest treatment modalities.

Biography
I grew up in Hartland, Wisconsin and am thrilled to practice subspecialty gastroenterology in my hometown. I completed medical school at the University of Wisconsin – Madison and then moved west to complete internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Colorado – Denver. Following my gastroenterology fellowship training, I completed a second fellowship in Advanced Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) at the University of California – San Francisco. During this year I had the privilege of working with international experts within the field of IBD, specifically women's health and pregnancy, and developed my own research pursuits. Currently, I am triple board-certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Obesity Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM). My professional interests include educating the next generation of physicians; investigating the interplay between IBD, metabolism, and obesity; and caring for my patients first and foremost.
