Biography

Dr. Michael Regner is an adult and pediatric neuroradiologist who joined the MCW Neuroradiology and Pediatric Imaging sections in 2026 as Associate Professor. He completed undergraduate and medical school at the University of Wisconsin−Madison in the Medical Scholars Program, internship and residency at the University of Colorado−Denver, and a two-year neuroradiology fellowship at the University of California−San Francisco (UCSF), where he served as attending Clinical Instructor for one year. He previously served as Assistant Professor of Neuroradiology at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), where he served in leadership roles as Director of MRI, Director of Fetal Neuroradiology, Medical Director of MR Safety (MRMD), and Director of Functional Neuroimaging. He is a passionate educator and was recognized by the OHSU Department of Radiology as “Outstanding Teacher of the Year” (2023) and “Board Reviewer of the Year” (2024). Dr. Regner is triple board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Neuroradiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR), and magnetic resonance safety certified as MR Medical Director (MRMD) by the American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety (ABMRS). He is licensed to practice medicine in the states of Oregon, California, and Wisconsin, and holds attending physician privileges at the hospitals and clinics of Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin as well as Children’s Wisconsin.
