Biography

Dr. Shunping Wang is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He joined the faculty at MCW in July of 2020. Dr. Wang is certified as High Complexity Laboratory Director (HCLD) by American Board of Bioanalysis (ABB), and currently serving as the Laboratory Director of In Vitro Fertilization and Andrology Laboratories of Reproductive Medicine Center at Froedtert Hospital.

Dr. Wang earned his master degree at Harvard University majoring in Epidemiology. He later received his PhD degree from The Johns Hopkins University with focus on Reproductive Biology. Following his training as an embryologist, Dr. Wang joined the faculty of University of Colorado, where he led the IVF and Andrology laboratories at University of Colorado Hospital. In 2015, Dr. Wang joined the Fertility Center of Women & Infants Hospital in Rhode Island and served as the Director of IVF Laboratory. During the same period, Dr. Wang was also the faculty in School of Medicine, Brown University.

Dr. Wang has co-authored many book chapters, abstracts, and scientific articles. He is also an active member of Society of Reproductive Biologists & Technologists (SRBT) and American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). Dr. Wang also serves as a reviewer for many leading scientific journals.

Wang enjoys music, reading, and spending time with his family.
