Biography

Dr. Woodson has dual board certification in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and Sleep Medicine. He is a nationally and internationally recognized expert in Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome. He has lectured worldwide on issues related to surgery and sleep medicine.

Dr. Woodson has an active clinical practice in both general Otolaryngology and in Sleep Medicine. Dr. Woodson is the Director of the Froedtert Hospital/Medical College of Wisconsin Sleep Disorders Program. He is active in developing new surgical treatments for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea. Additionally, he has served on Sleep Disorders, Standards of Practice, New Medical, Drug and Device, and the National Sleep Medicine Course Committees of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Dr. Woodson serves as an advisor for the American Sleep Apnea Association, Resmed (which is a world leader in respiratory equipment for sleep apnea), and professional football. He has organized multiple national and international meetings including the Cherry Blossom Conference of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, the Missouri Allergy and Sleep Disorders Update in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and the 3rd and 4th International Congress of Sleep Apnea.
