Comprehensive Injury Center Selects Three Proposals for 2026 Seed Project Funding
The Comprehensive Injury Center (CIC) has announced three selected projects for funding as part of its 2026 Seed Project Awards. Investigators of these projects will receive $25,000 to conduct research focused on reducing injury disparities.
The 2026 funded projects and their investigators are:
Mixed-methods study proposes to quantitatively and qualitatively identify the health needs and predictors of seeking care among patients referred to TQoL-PC
Investigator: Dr. Laura Hawks
Therapeutically Preventing Pathological Fibrinogen Attenuation as a Countermeasure for Microthrombosis and Tissue Injury in Freezing Cold Injury
Investigator: Dr. Christian Kastrup
Tiny Tokes, Little Highs, Big Risks: A Survey Approach to Building an Altered Mental Status Guideline
Investigator: Dr. Amanda Dupont
