Dr. Ben Weston Discusses Vaccine-Induced Immunity
Dr. Ben Weston joins a discussion around vaccine-induced immunity. He states vaccine-induced immunity is the safest and most effective way to get immunity. Natural immunity is not as durable as vaccine-induced immunity. For those over the age of 50, being vaccinated makes someone 44x less likely to be hospitalized than those that are unvaccinated. Boosting accounts for 17x less likely to be hospitalized.
Dr. Weston urges people to continue to get vaccinated and boosted as vaccinations are critical for immunity. He also states that people should continue to social distance and wear a high quality mask.
