Forbes Ranks MCW as a 2022 Best-In-State Employer

After surveying 70,000 employees from companies across the United States with 500 or more employees, Forbes has recognized the Medical College of Wisconsin as a Best-In-State Employer for the second year in a row. On a national level, making the 2022 Forbes list of Best Employers by State ranks MCW in the top 3% of all U.S. employers with 500 or more employees.

As part of the survey, respondents answered a series of work-related questions about working conditions, compensation, opportunities for advancement and openness to remote/virtual work, and then asked to rate their willingness to recommend their own employer to family and friends.

The anonymous surveys were conducted from October 2021 to June 2022, a period during which the pandemic transitioned to an endemic. MCW responded to this by successfully reopening its campuses while continuing to promote effective remote/hybrid work and learning and building upon its statewide reputation as a COVID-19 subject matter expert. MCW also built a more robust wellness program to deal with burnout amongst learners, faculty and staff, and continued the acceleration of its journey to be an inclusive organization where everyone feels seen, heard, supported and valued.
