Jessica Olson, PhD, MPH is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Community Health within the Institute for Health & Equity at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She received her Doctorate of Philosophy and Master of Public Health at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2015 and 2017, respectively. Her research is dedicated towards leveraging and integrating the strengths of basic, clinical, and community research to reduce disparities in cancer incidence and mortality.
Currently, Dr. Olson is working as a member of the Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment’s Cross-Cutting Initiative, an eight-year investment of up to $20M focused on reducing disparities in breast and lung cancer in the state of Wisconsin. The Division of Community Health within the Institute for Health & Equity is ideally suited for her research, due to the highly collaborative team of faculty and researchers, and outstanding mentorship available to junior faculty.
