Research Interests
Dr. Pearce’s research/educational focus is simulation-based medical education in the fields of pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine. Specifically, Dr. Pearce is interested in curriculum development and use of simulation for instruction and summative assessment of trainees. Dr. Pearce’s secondary research interest is procedural sedation and improving outcomes for patients. In this realm, her research has focused on assessing children for and predictors of negative behavioral outcomes post-procedural sedation.
