One-line description: Exploring novel therapeutic approaches to alleviate muscular and cardiovascular complications induced by muscular dystrophy disorders Full description: We aim to explore novel therapeutic strategies for treating patients with muscular dystrophy. Muscular dystrophy disorders such as Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) affect different muscles of our body including skeletal muscles and heart muscle. The main reason for mortality in such patients is cardiovascular complications related to DMD such as cardiomyopathies and heart failure. On the other hand, Pain is one of the most suffering and debilitating symptoms affecting more than half of the DMD patients impacting the patients’ quality of life, restricting their mobility, and leading to mental health problems. Our main goal is to investigate the therapeutic effects of potentially influential novel treatment options to alleviate these complications and improve survival rates in DMD patients.
