Biography

Lindsay Emer, PhD is a Program Manager with the Division of Epidemiology, Institute for Health & Equity at the Medical College of Wisconsin. In her role, she provides training and technical assistance for Sexual Assault Reviews (Department of Justice grant) and Opioid Overdose Death Reviews (Center for Disease Control and Prevention grant) across Wisconsin. Dr. Emer has a PhD in Public Health and has worked as a researcher in HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, sexual assault and firearm violence. Before joining MCW, she facilitated the Milwaukee Sexual Assault Review and Milwaukee Domestic Violence Review for Aurora Health Care in partnership with the Milwaukee Homicide Review Commission. Before entering graduate school, she worked in the community for six years at the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin and Meta House, a substance abuse treatment center for women.
