Research Interests
Dr. Gantner is interested in studying different types of inflammatory responses to understand how they impact the decisions of innate immune cells (e.g. macrophages and neutrophils) to injure surrounding host tissue. The lab uses microscopic observation of cells in living animals (i.e. intravital imaging) and in vitro culture systems to study the intracellular processes, intercellular communications, and behavioral responses of immune cells during bacterial infection and cancer.
