Research Scientist I

Biography

He received his PhD in Molecular Genetics from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 2020. While in the lab of Dr. Sean Davidson, his studies focused on the structure-function relationship of plasma apolipoproteins. Mark completed his postdoc with Dr. Kasey Vickers at Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he focused on understanding how lipoproteins mediate intercellular RNA transport between immune cells. He then joined the lab of Dr. Ze Zheng, as a research scientist, at the Versiti Blood Research Institute where he studied the relationship between lipoprotein metabolism and hemostasis. Mark joined the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2024 as a research scientist in the lab of Dr. William Drobyski. While in the Drobyski lab, his research will focus on the pathways that underly the development of graft versus host disease in the context of bone marrow transplantation.
