Biography

I received my PhD in biotechnology from Jawaharlal Nehru University (THSTI), India where I studied the cause of different host-specificities and clinical outcomes of two closely related Salmonella serovars, by characterizing the differential host cell secretome in response to infection and developed an in vitro immunodiagnostic test for typhoid. Besides, I have also worked towards the development of monoclonal antibodies as potential therapeutic and diagnostic candidates for HBV and Typhoid. Previously, my post-doctoral work at ICGEB, India, was focused on the generation and characterization of Tag free multi-stage potential vaccines candidates for malaria that induce strain transcending invasion inhibitory antibodies. As a postdoctoral fellow In Dr. Sabarinath Radhakrishnan’s lab, I plan to work towards rational engineering of CAR T cells to overcome cancer treatment resistance.
