Biography

Mukoso Ozieh, MD, MSCR, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Nephrology and the Center for Advancing Population Science at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center. She completed her internal medicine residency training at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, and a Master of Science in Clinical Research (MSCR) degree at the Medical University of South Carolina during her nephrology fellowship under a T32 grant. Her research is focused on the interplay of social risk factors, lifestyle, and genetic risk factors in African Americans with chronic kidney disease and diabetes. She is funded by the National Institutes of Health – National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases and National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities.
