Why did I choose MCW for fellowship? I was lucky enough to get to know the MCW team during my time as a resident. Throughout the interview process, it was hard to find a reason to leave MCW. This department is a powerhouse of supportive, approachable, inspiring pediatric infectious disease physicians that I feel so lucky to learn from.
One of the best things about living in Milwaukee? The people! Midwest nice is a real thing, everyone cares about you not only as a learner but your life outside of the hospital also. It is also lovely to live in an area where I can affordably live within walking distance of the lake, a reasonable commute to the hospital, and close to downtown Milwaukee.
