Dr. Caroline Maloney Receives 40 Under 40 Award from Milwaukee Business Journal

Caroline Maloney, MD, PhD, assistant professor of surgery at MCW and a pediatric surgeon at Children’s Wisconsin, has been named by the Milwaukee Business Journal to this year’s 40 Under 40 list. Congratulations, Dr. Maloney!

Dr. Maloney joined Children’s Wisconsin as a pediatric surgery Fellow in 2021, having previously completed her general surgical training at Northwell Health in New York and a PhD in cancer immunology at the Elmezzi School of Molecular Medicine.

Dr. Maloney played an instrumental role in developing the thoracic robotic surgery program at Children’s. In her first two years of practice, she has also received three research grants to study the effects of surgery on the development of metastasis in pediatric solid tumors.

“In my fifteen years of training pediatric surgeons, Dr. Caroline Maloney is the best of the best,” said Amy Wagner, MD, professor of surgery. “I have no doubt that she will not only continue in her career to personally help and save the lives of thousands of children in the Milwaukee area, but also to make an impact and improve the way we treat cancer to save lives of cancer patients all over the world.”
