Research Interests

We are working on a retrospective cohort study that will evaluate breast cancer–specific survival (BCSS) and locoregional recurrence (LRR) in patients with cT1–2 N0 triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) treated between 2011 and 2024. Eligible patients are adults with clinically node-negative T1–2 tumors (≤5 cm), 1–2 positive sentinel nodes on H&E without gross extranodal extension, who underwent lumpectomy with whole-breast irradiation and planned adjuvant systemic therapy, mirroring Z0011/AMAROS/SENOMAC-type axillary criteria. Because these de-escalation trials were dominated by hormone receptor–positive disease and TNBC carries a distinct biology with higher recurrence risk, subtype-specific outcome data are lacking. The study will estimate BCSS and cumulative LRR and identify clinicopathologic predictors (age, T stage, tumor size, LVI, modified Bloom-Richardson grade, histologic type, and nodal burden) to inform axillary management and counseling in TNBC.
