Biography
Dalal Abuaqel serves as a Lead Health Policy Analyst for Ben Weston, MD, Chief Health Policy Advisor for Milwaukee County, where she assists in advancing public health initiatives and shaping policies to address critical health challenges and improve population health outcomes across the county. In addition to her work in health policy, Dalal is a medical student. She earned two master’s degrees: one in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University and another in Public Health from George Washington University. Her interdisciplinary training integrates research, policy development, and clinical practice.
Dalal is dedicated to advancing health equity, mentoring refugee and immigrant children, and expanding access to care for underserved communities through initiatives that address structural determinants of health. Her interests focus on developing sustainable, systems-level solutions that bridge clinical medicine, public health, and policy to promote more equitable healthcare delivery locally and globally.
