Dr. Ian B. K. Martin Selected for AAMC’s Council of Deans Fellowship

Joining six others, Dr. Ian B. K. Martin, Professor with Tenure and System Chair of MCW’s Department of Emergency Medicine, has been selected as a fellow for the Association of American Medical College’s (AAMC) Council of Deans (COD) Fellowship Program. Out of the largest number of applications to date, Dr. Martin was chosen. He has an extensive background in serving his community and the healthcare setting. Dr. Martin has held several prestigious leadership positions, including numerous for the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine.

The AAMC COD Fellowship program was created to enhance the development of future leaders in academic medicine. This year-long leadership program entails an intensive mentorship, participation in COD and COD Administrative Board meetings, participation in an Executive Development Seminar series, and completion of a capstone leadership project.
