Dr. Ian Martin Receives John Marx Leadership Award from Society for Academic Emergency Medicine

Ian B. K. Martin, MD, MBA, receives John Marx Leadership Award (2025)Ian B. K. Martin, MD, MBA, eminent scholar, professor with tenure, system chairman of emergency medicine, and interim associate provost and senior associate dean of faculty affairs, received the prestigious John Marx Leadership Award from the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM). Dr. Martin was presented the award at the society’s annual meeting on May 14 in Philadelphia.

The highest award given by SAEM (with more than 10,200 members), the Marx Award is bestowed upon a single member who has made exceptional contributions to the specialty of emergency medicine through local, regional, national and international leadership.
