Biography

Dr. Michelle Geyer Thompson attended medical school at Kansas City University in Kansas City, Missouri. She then completed her Internal Medicine residency and chief residency at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. She then completed a fellowship in Medical Toxicology at Banner-University Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Currently, she works at Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in the Substance Use Disorder Clinic, serves as an attending physician on the inpatient Internal Medicine residency teams and the inpatient Medical Toxicology Consult service. Additionally, she serves as an attending physician at Froedtert Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin on the Medical Toxicology Consult service, as well as oversees learners at the Wisconsin Poison Center.
