Research Interests

Hannah Uttley joins the division as a joint Research Technologist I, working primarily in the laboratory of Dr. Siegfried Janz and additionally in the laboratory of Dr. Jennifer Knight. She graduated from Carleton College in 2020 with a BA in Biology and spent her first year out of undergrad engaged in sensory neuroscience research at Columbia University. Along with a passion for collaboration and problem solving, she is driven by an immense curiosity regarding human physiological systems, in homeostasis and in disease. Specifically, her research interests include neuroimmunology, neurodegeneration, oncology, and healthcare disparities. In her free time, she loves to hike, write short stories, play sand volleyball, and volunteer.
