Biography
Noel Estrada-Merly completed a Master of Science in Epidemiology from the University of Puerto Rico Medical Science Campus in 2018. In 2018, he moved to Milwaukee to work at the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research, a collaboration between the Medical College of Wisconsin and the National Marrow Donor Program, where he worked with Dr. D’Souza as the primary biostatistician for plasma cell disorders. Additionally worked in the Chronic Leukemias working committees. In 2021, Noel was promoted to a senior biostatistician, where he served as team lead for the working committee study portfolio, led the Data Quality Initiative, and managed the statistical aspect of standard government reports. In May 2023, he was hired as program manager for Dr. D’Souza's research lab.
Research Interests
Noel is interested in improving treatment utilization and understanding the impact of social determinants of health, disparities and other factors on outcomes.
