Biography

Dr. Rachel Cusatis is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Division of Hematology and Oncology. She is a part of the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR). She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and her Master’s and PhD at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee in sociology.

Research Interests

Dr. Cusatis’ research focuses on the intersection of patterns in time use, patient-centered outcomes, survey methods, and social determinants of health to understand individual and population health behaviors and outcomes. Through mixed methods approaches, she has worked on projects analyzing patient reported outcomes, patient and provider communication, and decisional regret among patient after allo-HCT transplant and other contexts.
